    •  We have in the past been involved with the American Concrete Institute Building Code for Concrete and specifically with ACI Code Committee 322, structural plain concrete

Awards

 We have won the following awards:

  • Consulting Engineers Award of Merit for an 852 foot long bridge over the Skeena River near the BC/Alaska Border
  • Tri-Community Grand Overall Winner for a very large car and truck dealership in Vancouver.  This building was singled-out, in particular, as it set the standards bar for projects in a new area of development.
  • Engineering News Record Citation for innovative earthquake engineering of a 40 story building in Vancouver, Canada.
  • An award from the South Africa Institute of Civil Engineers regarding the subject of assumed stress hybrid finite elements
  • Our International team includes Mr Nameer Kaka, an architect who is licensed in Iraq and has been in practice since 1983.  He is also a landscape architect.
  • His Baghdad firm is also the recipient of a variety of prestigious “First Place” design awards for Iraq including:
    • A complete tourist village at Woods, Iraq for the Ministry of Tourism.  The project was for about 150 private guest houses, a hotel and shops at a new tourist village in Northern Iraq near the City of Mosul.
    • For the Ministry of Commerce – the main exhibition hall in Baghdad Center.
    • For the Ministry of Defense – a major renovation and addition to their head office building.
    • And a 3 part project consisting of the following social multi-plex:  The project included a school, church and seniors housing.


Patents

We hold US and international patents for the following:

  • The Netupsky Engineering Retaining Wall
  • The Bornet Truss (a concrete and steel assembly using materials to their max advantage)
  • Floating, Bouyant Bridges
  • Hydraulic Seismic isolation of structures
  • The “Dy-core Process” for extruded prestressed hollowcore

 
Publications and Lectures

  • We have published research papers on a variety of topics from precast, prestressed, concrete, hollowcore units…to yield line theory of slabs…to model analysis of reinforced concrete structures…among other such engineering topics.
  • We are experts in the area of precast concrete and prestressed concrete design.  We have lectured on this subject in the USA, Canada, and Singapore

A Message from Andrew Netupsky, the President of SEC LLC
Structural Engineers has met the challenges of our times. Established in 1963 in British Columbia as Netupsky Engineering, a Structural and Civil Engineering office, we have expanded our services throughout the years to include:

  • Netupsky Construction,
  • Netupsky International
  • Structural Engineers LLC

Since its inception, our group has completed projects throughout the USA, Canada, the Middle East, Central and South America and the Far East. Our team of professional experts has embraced all the aspects of Civil and Structural Engineering and has  in-house Mechanical and Electrical Engineering capability.

Our staff are leaders in creative and innovative designs.  We hold international patents for may structural systems, process systems and specialized techniques.

 This website will introduce the many services we provide, including: DESIGN, PROJECT MANAGEMENT, TECHNICAL SERVICES, STRUCTURAL INSPECTIONS AND GENERAL CONSTRUCTION.

It gives me pride to detail the growth of Structural Engineers from its beginning in 1963 in British Columbia to our current headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona with its many current clients and projects…
